Hermance Associates founder, Travis Hermance, has over 20 years experience in evaluating and treating mental health patients. He has extensive experience working as a psychiatric emergency clinician. Additionally, he has significant experience collaborating with police departments, the military, probation departments, law firms, universities, and hospitals about comprehensive ways to appropriately and effectively handle a mental health crisis before the situation escalates to an emergency.
Embedded in his 20 years as a licensed clinician, Travis has experience in evaluating and treating clients in the fields of crisis intervention, mental health, substance abuse, sexual abuse and domestic violence. In addition, he provides comprehensive suicide and homicide risk assessments, safety planning and stress debriefing.
Travis received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University and his master's degree in social work from Simmons College. He is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
